Had to choose between a magnesium float and a wood float for a big garage slab last week. Went with magnesium and it was a mistake.

Was a wood float guy for years, but after seeing what @troy_bennett90 said about the burn, I get it now.

Oof, that's rough. Magnesium can really burn in the finish if you're not careful. Guess you found that out the hard way.
