DAE notice every new guy on the crew wants to broom finish everything now?
Had a 22 year old helper start 6 months ago in Fort Worth and he tried to broom finish a stamped patio because that's all he did at his last outfit. Feels like everyone coming up now learned one finish and never touched a magnesium float, so are you guys seeing the same thing or is it just me?
Did you ever watch a guy try to use a come along when he grew up on a winch? Same deal, he only knows the one tool so everything looks like a job for it. I had a kid last summer who couldn't edge a slab to save his life because his old boss poured everything right to the forms and never touched a hand tool. Give it time and a few ugly pours, they pick it up or they go find a broom crew.
