Bought a $340 power trowel off a guy in Fresno, it lasted 2 hours
Met him in a parking lot on Blackstone and he swore it only had 20 hours on it. Second pass on a 1200 sq ft slab the gearbox started screaming and locked up. Anyone know if those gearboxes are rebuildable or am I just out the money?

Did you check if the grease fitting on the gearbox was even there? My buddy bought one like that and it turned out the input shaft bearing was shot, cost him almost as much as the trowel to fix.
