A rainy morning in Tulsa changed my curing game for good
Last month I was on a driveway pour outside Tulsa and the forecast called for rain overnight. I always covered with plastic, but a foreman named Dale told me to use wet burlap instead, then damp sand on top. That one move kept the surface from dusting and saved me a call-back the next week. Has anyone else switched from plastic to burlap for curing in humid weather?

Wet burlap and sand, sure that works, but calling it a game changer feels like a stretch. Concrete cures fine with plastic if you actually weigh it down right and check the edges. Sounds like Dale just had a better setup than what you were doing, not that the method itself is some secret. Humidity in Oklahoma can be ugly, but a good cure is a good cure no matter how you wrap it. Maybe the real lesson is just don't skip the prep work.
