Spent 2 years using compressed air cans upside down before someone told me

I was cleaning out a dusty Dell Optiplex in my shop when the can started spraying ice instead of air and I thought that was normal. Turns out I never read the instructions about holding it upright and tilting the straw, I just shook it like a spray paint can. Anyone else have a basic tool or method they used wrong for way too long before getting called out on it?

Did you try contacting the company for a replacement can first?

And I read somewhere that those cans have a bitterant in them so people don't huff them, which is why your lungs burn if you breathe it in. I used to just spray that ice juice directly onto circuit boards like it was no big deal. Looking back, I'm lucky I didn't short something out or freeze a component and crack it. The number of PCs I "cleaned" that way is embarrassing now that I know better. At least you found out after 2 years, I was pushing 5 before a guy at the electronics shop looked at me like I had three heads.

Wait, isn't the bitterant only in the really cheap cans though?
