Had a client in Cleveland hand me a sticky note with her password on it, and it made me rethink how I do handoffs
Last Tuesday I was doing an onsite tune up for a 68 year old woman in Cleveland who runs a small bookkeeping shop out of her basement. When I asked for her login she pulled a yellow sticky note off the monitor with her password written on it and said 'I know, I know, my son yells at me about this.' I showed her how to set up a free password manager in about 10 minutes and she wrote the master password on a piece of paper she keeps in her wallet, which is honestly not perfect but way better than the monitor thing. Now I carry a printed one page guide to every onsite and I walk folks through it before I leave. Do you all do password manager setup as part of your standard onsite, or is that out of scope for you?
