Warning: that bridge loan nearly sank my whole week in Tulsa
I had a $210k bridge loan closing last Tuesday that looked perfect on paper, then the appraiser threw in a last minute condition about a zoning variance from 2019. The title company flagged a lien that supposedly got released but never did, so I spent 3 days chasing a clerk in Creek County. By Friday the seller's attorney sent a 'time is of the essence' notice, and I almost missed the breakfast my wife planned. Has anyone else had a loan fall apart over paperwork that should've been handled years ago?

Ugh, tell me about it, the zombie liens are the worst because they look dead but somehow come back to bite you at the worst possible moment! I swear, half this job is just babysitting paperwork that some clerk should've cleared years ago, it's like playing whack-a-mole with county records.
