Serious question, did anyone else get burned by the 3/1 ARM reset in spring 2023 before the rate freeze?

Got hit with the same thing on my place in March. What saved me was calling the servicer before the reset date and asking about their loan mod program, turns out they had one I didn't even know about. I had to send in a hardship letter and pay stubs, and they dropped my rate to 4.25 for two years. Not amazing but it kept me from losing the house, so it was worth the annoying paperwork.
