Rant: My bank in Charlotte tried to push a simple refi when I needed a HELOC for a major fix

I was sitting in the branch last month trying to get a line of credit for a foundation repair that could hit $40k. The advisor kept showing me basic refinance options that didn't fit at all. It made me realize you really have to walk in knowing exactly which complex product you need, or they'll default to the easy sale. Anyone else had to fight for the right loan structure?

Ever think they just don't know the products?

Could be, but sometimes it's not about the product details. They might not see the value in what you're offering at all. That's a different problem to fix.
