I saw a friend's kitchen reno go over by maybe fifteen percent and it was no big deal. Those loan clauses sound scary but most contractors will work with you if you talk to them early. People make it seem like a huge trap but it's just basic paperwork, right? I guess it depends on if your builder is honest or not.
