Buddy from work told me to put all my HELOC money into crypto last March. He's still trying to pay off his margin call.

Some people treat their home equity like it's free money from a casino. Buddy is probably still staring at his screen hoping it bounces back. Margin calls are just expensive life lessons in disguise.

My buddy did the same thing with $40k from his HELOC in April 2021. He bought Dogecoin at 60 cents and it tanked to under a dime a month later. He still talks about it like it's gonna moon any day now. That money's gone.
