Used to hate full-face masks on deep dives
I always thought they were just extra weight and a pain to clear, but after getting a mouthful of silt on a 90-foot wreck off Key West last month I finally gave in. That Kirby Morgan 37 felt awkward at first but the comms alone saved me an hour of hand signals.

Nah, I still hate how they trap heat and fog up on me.

Blamed the fog on my own breathing at first, but @the_tara nailed it - those things trap heat like a greenhouse on your face. Figured out you gotta keep the mask colder than the surrounding water before you drop in, or you're basically diving with a steamed window. Still worth it for not eating silt, though.
