Tried using my drysuit for ice diving... without checking the zipper first

Zipper gave out about 3 minutes in, and I spent the next 20 minutes shivering on the ice while my buddy laughed. Learned the hard way to check that little plastic slider before every dive - anyone else have a gear fail at the worst possible moment?

55 bucks for a brand new wetsuit zipper pull at the dive shop. Snapped mine on a boat ramp last summer right before a charter. Spent the whole trip borrowing duct tape from the captain. Held together but looked ridiculous.

And @paige86 that's exactly what I thought too till my zipper pull broke and I was stuck paying 40 bucks for a replacement, ridiculous markup on those things.

Honestly @murphy.linda duct tape works fine, 55 bucks seems steep for a little piece of plastic.
