That $75 neoprene hood was worth every penny for cold water work

Did a 4 hour hull cleaning gig in Port Angeles last week, water was sitting at 48 degrees and my old hood was letting water trickle down my neck the whole time. Finally caved and grabbed a quality 7mm hood with the smooth skin seal, cost me around $75 and honestly it felt like a different job. No more freezing headaches after the second dive, and my core temp stayed normal enough that I skipped the usual hot shower shiver fest. Anyone else found one piece of gear that just clicked for them and made you wonder why you waited so long?
