Serious question, when did we start caring so much about what our gear leaves behind?
I was going through some old dive logs from the 90s... back then, we just tossed broken parts overboard without a thought. Now, every job has rules about bringing everything back up, even the trash. It's a good change, but sometimes I miss the simplicity. Still, seeing less junk on the bottom makes it worth it. We've come a long way in how we treat the water.
Totally get that. I painted my kitchen a different color last year and it weirdly messed with my whole morning routine. Funny how small shifts can tilt your whole world view.
