Lost comms with the surface at 60 feet off Galveston last Tuesday

My through-water comms cut out mid-inspection on a jacket leg and I had to fall back on line pulls for 20 minutes until the tender caught on. Turned out the culprit was a nicked o-ring in the connector after only 10 dives on the new hat. Anyone running a spare comms can as a quick swap, or do you just carry extra o-rings and hope?

Had that same o-ring blow at 80 feet off Fourchon and now I keep a spare comms can in the drawer.
