Had to choose between a full face mask and a band mask for a salvage job in Mobile Bay
We were pulling up old pilings in low visibility, maybe 2 feet max. The full face mask meant clear comms but felt bulky, while the band mask was lighter but the mouthpiece was a pain for long bottom times. I went with the band mask to stay nimble around the debris. Anyone else faced this call on a tight, murky job?

Totally get that choice, even if my own band mask experience in the gunk ended with me chewing the mouthpiece like gum. @chen.casey has the right idea for mobility, but man, my jaw was sore for a week after. That murky water turns every piling into a shin-buster, so staying light is key.
