Had a client in Tampa argue that a 30-minute bottom time on a 150-foot inspection was 'plenty'.

We were on the Pensacola wreck last month and my dive partner insisted on a full hour for the same depth. Which approach actually gets the job done right without pushing limits?

Depends entirely on what you're inspecting. Rushing a 150-foot dive often means missing details you're paid to find. Your Pensacola partner had the right idea for a proper job.

Read a case study about rushed deep inspections missing corrosion spots. At 150 feet, gas mixes change how you think. Your brain just works slower down there. Umathompson is right about details getting lost when you hurry. Saw a report where a 40 minute check found issues a 25 minute dive completely missed.

Yeah, rushing at that depth sounds risky, and I agree with umathompson about missing details.
