After a recent dive, I'm sure manual tools are safer than power tools underwater. My partner says power tools get it done faster. Who's right?

Ever had a tool fail on you mid-dive? I once had a power drill short out in murky water, and it was a real panic moment. Now I always double-check my gear, no matter what I'm using.

Manual tools slow you down, which can be dangerous in some situations! A reliable power tool gets you out of there faster.

Yeah that story about the drill shorting in murky water is exactly what scares me lol. Just the idea of something failing like that when you can't see clearly or get up fast is terrifying. It's why I'm so stuck on manual tools, even if they're slower. With manual you might get tired, but you won't get a nasty shock or have a motor seize up. For me, safe and steady beats fast every single time.
