Went back to my old high school's Facebook page and the comments are a time capsule
I was looking for a photo from a decade ago and ended up scrolling through the comment section on old posts. It's wild how different it was back in like 2013. People would just post full paragraphs, actual conversations, and inside jokes. Now, the same page is just flooded with 'tag a friend who...' or those weird, angry emoji reactions on a post about the new cafeteria. The most shocking one I saw was under a photo of the football team. Some guy, who's probably a dad now, commented 'Coach Wilson smells like old cheese' and it had 87 likes. That would start a whole thing today. It just made me miss when comment sections felt like a real place to talk, you know? Does anyone else feel like social media comments have just gotten meaner and way less fun over the years?

Oh, I actually think it's gotten less mean but way more boring. Everyone just says the same safe things now.

Honestly, the boring part is what gets me these days.

It's like everything online got turned into a waiting room. You just stand there with other people, but nobody really talks. The whole internet feels like that now.
