Vent: My sister called comment sections 'digital ghost towns' and it stuck with me.

We were scrolling a post about that new park statue in Chicago. She pointed at a thread with 500 replies and said 'Look, a thousand people shouting into a void. No one's listening.' It hit different because she's right. When was the last time you saw a real back-and-forth that wasn't just insults or jokes?

That's a sharp way to put it, but I see it a bit different. The shouting is real, but the void part isn't quite right. Those replies do get read, they just don't often get a real answer. The problem isn't that no one is listening, it's that listening has become a quiet, private act instead of a public conversation. We all lurk and read, but hitting 'reply' feels like stepping onto a stage where you might just get booed.

My last ten forum posts got zero replies, just like hollyc92 said.

Honestly that's a crazy number to actually count. Tbh hollyc92 is right about the lurking, but ten posts with nothing back is just brutal. Feels like posting into a black hole sometimes.
