The comment calling that gym selfie 'gymtimidation' was brutal but fair

Tbh I scrolled past a post in a fitness group last month where some guy posted a flex pic and someone replied 'sir that's just your organs pushing out'. It got 400 likes before the mods killed it. Ngl it was harsh but the original commenter had a point, the angles were doing all the work. Has anyone else seen a comment that was meaner than it had to be but you still laughed for 10 minutes straight?

Honestly that 'organs pushing out' line is brutal but genius. I saw a similar thing in a hiking group where someone posted a "candid" summit pic and the top comment was 'looks like you found a rock that matches your ego'. It got deleted fast but I still think about it when I see those forced action shots. Sometimes the meanest comments are the only ones that actually tell the truth about the pose.

Whew, that hiking group comment is a classic. I've been on enough group trips to know the difference between someone actually enjoying the view and someone just checking a box for their feed. The trick is to ask someone to snap a photo while you're looking at the scenery, not at the lens, and keep your hands in your pockets. It kills the whole "I'm conquering this" stance that invites those comments in the first place.
