That random YouTube comment about my hobby finally made sense yesterday

I was scrolling through a video about restoring an old Craftsman table saw and some dude named Mike from Ohio said "you're not fixing the tool, you're fixing your relationship with impatience." At first I thought it was just typical internet wisdom but after I spent 4 hours trying to get a stuck arbor nut off without cussing once it hit me different. Has anyone else had a random stranger's words stick in their head way longer than they should?

Used to roll my eyes at stuff like that. Thought it was just people being dramatic about basic stuff. Then I was rebuilding a carburetor on my dirt bike. Dropped a tiny spring into the gravel. Instead of throwing things I just sat there for ten minutes looking for it. Calm. Focused. Found it too. Remembered that Ohio guy and laughed at myself. Something about not fighting the process changes everything.

Used to be the same way honestly. Thought that whole "embrace the suck" stuff was just people trying to sound deep. But that feeling of fighting against everything just makes it worse every time.

Why would you take life advice from a random guy named Mike in Ohio, @emma_clark?
