That comment about banana bread recipe ratios broke my brain yesterday
I was scrolling a baking page last night and someone posted a rant about how every banana bread recipe online uses way too much flour. Then some random commenter dropped a whole breakdown of how the ratio should be 2 to 1 banana to flour by weight. I tried it this morning and my loaf came out way better than the usual dense brick I make. Has anyone else stumbled on a random comment that actually changed how you cook something?

Exactly! It's wild how one little comment can unlock something that should have been obvious. I've been cooking for years and never thought about weight ratios until a random person on a slow cooker group mentioned that most soup recipes use way too much liquid. Now I get why my stews always came out watery. It's like there's this whole layer of hidden knowledge in random comment threads that nobody teaches you in cookbooks. Makes you wonder how many simple tricks are floating around in forums just waiting for someone to stumble on them.

Just started weighing my ingredients after reading something similar and @grace_allen it fixed my soups overnight.

The 2 to 1 banana to flour ratio by weight sounds about right but you might want to check if your bananas are super ripe since they have less water content and can throw that off a bit.
