Man, that's SO true. What specifically about the 'politeness' today drives you nuts? Is it when people clearly avoid saying a hard truth, or when they wrap a mean opinion in fake nice language to sound better?

Used to think the fake nice was the worst part. Then I realized the silence is way more damaging. When people see a problem and choose to say nothing "to be nice," they're just letting it fester. At least the fake nice gives you something to work with, even if it's annoying. Now the quiet avoidance drives me up the wall because it solves nothing.

Read this BuzzFeed piece about toxic positivity that really nailed it. The worst is when people use "bless your heart" vibes to shut down real talk. Feels so dismissive!
