Picked a heated comment war over a polite DM debate last night

I saw a post where someone claimed WD-40 fixes everything, and this guy in the replies said 'except your marriage' and I had to choose between laughing it off or diving into a 50 reply thread about how bad that joke was. Ngl, I went for the thread, wasted 2 hours, and now my phone is blowing up with notifications from people arguing about divorce lawyers being the real lubricant. Has anyone else gotten sucked into a stupid social media argument where the original post was totally harmless?

Man, that marriage lubricant joke is brutal (but honestly a little funny). My buddy Mike got dragged into a 200 reply war over whether pineapple belongs on pizza and ended up blocking three guys from his fantasy football league over it. He still brings it up like it was some noble crusade for justice, but really he just missed dinner.

Him still bringing it up like it was some noble crusade for justice, huh? Did he at least win the pineapple argument or just lose dinner and three fantasy league buddies in one night? People really do get weird about defending their pizza toppings like it's a constitutional right.
