Sorted my floppy long boxes into magazine holders for $3 each at a thrift store
I grabbed a stack of those plastic magazine holders from Goodwill last weekend for $3 a pop and slid my old long boxes full of X-Men comics into them. The books stay upright way better and I can pull a title without the whole row flopping over. Has anyone else tried a cheaper storage fix that actually worked better than the fancy comic boxes?

Magazine holders for comics seems like overthinking a non-problem.

Magazine holders for comics seems like overthinking" - nah man, that's exactly what I did too. I grabbed those cheap plastic ones from the dollar store last year and they work so much better than those flimsy long boxes. The key is cutting a small notch in the back of the holder with a box cutter so the comics slide in flat and don't curl at the top. Also stack two holders side by side and tape them together, keeps everything from wobbling when you pull a book out.
