Rant: A reviewer told me my panel layouts were too cluttered, so I stopped cramming 9 boxes per page
Last month at a local con in Portland, a fellow collector frowned at my indie comic and said, you're making readers work too hard, and they handed it back after two pages. I cut my grid down to 4 panels per spread and started leaving white space, and now people at my shop actually pause to read instead of flipping. Has anyone else had a fan critique that completely rewired their art process?
