Just realized I was bagging my teacher's pull box wrong for 2 years
Was working on a collection at a shop near Portland and kept getting my pull box fills all tangled. Turns out I was overlapping the bags instead of sealing them flat on the board. Guy named Mark showed me this trick where you press the air out from bottom to top and tape it flush. Has anyone else dealt with a weird packing habit that messed up your whole storage system?

Man I did the exact same thing for like 18 months on my personal collection. Kept wondering why the edges of my cards were getting pressure dings. Finally figured out I was basically making my bags into little bubble pillows by not getting the air out right. My friend Dave walked me through it one night over beers at his shop and I felt like a complete idiot. Had to go back and re-bag a whole 5000 count box of vintage junk. That tape trick where you seal it flat is honestly a game changer though.

Nearly did the same thing with my entire 90s basketball set like 2 years ago. Had every single card in those loose bags with way too much air inside. Was convinced they were getting that wavy look from humidity. Nope, just me being an idiot with the bags. My buddy Mike finally saw what I was doing and laughed for like 10 minutes straight before showing me the flat seal method. Had to redo a whole 800 count box of Jordan base cards. That tape trick really does save you from yourself though.

Mark's method works perfectly unless your tape is cheap and fails after a month.
