I was sure the new comic shop in Springfield was just a cash grab

When 'The Panel Page' opened last month, I figured it was another pop culture store that would fold in six months. But the owner, Mark, is a real collector who set up a whole back issue wall organized by character and year, not just price. He even runs a local artist showcase every other Saturday. Has anyone else found a shop that actually surprised them by being legit?

There's a record store like that near me. You'd think it was just a tourist trap from the outside. The guy inside though, he can tell you the pressing history of any album you pull out. He keeps a listening station set up with headphones, not just the top forty stuff. It's the kind of place you go to and end up talking for an hour. Totally changed my mind about the whole street.

That's actually a 1973 pressing, not the original 1971 release. The matrix numbers are different.

Totally agree with @the_adam on this, it's like how every new coffee shop that opens you expect to be overpriced and boring, but then you find one where the barista actually remembers your order and talks beans with you. Isn't funny how the real gems always seem to come out of nowhere when you least expect it?
