I used to bag and board every single comic, now I only do it for key issues

Back in 2019 I was spending like $40 a month on bags and boards for every new pull, even the fillers nobody cares about. My longbox in Portland got so stuffed I couldn't flip through it without pulling half the stack out. Then my buddy Dave pointed out that the dollar bin stuff I was protecting was never gonna be worth the plastic. Now I only bag number ones, first appearances, and stuff I actually plan to reread. The rest sit in a plain short box stacked loose, and honestly it feels way less like a chore. Has anyone else cut back on the whole preservation ritual for regular issues, or am I the odd one out here?
