I remember buying every single issue of a crossover event, but now I just wait for the trade paperback.

The shift happened around 2015 for me, when I realized I was spending over $4 a month on floppies I'd just bag and box. Has anyone else completely switched their buying habits like this?

My uncle was an electrician and jesse994 is right about the money. But man, he retired with hands that just wouldn't open all the way anymore. Always said the pension was good but his knees were shot. Makes you wonder about that trade-off for real.

Depends what you mean by value. The money's good but you trade your body for it long term. Seen too many guys in their 50s who can barely move without pain.
