I always thought reading comics online was just as good as the real thing...
I was reading the new 'Daredevil' run on my tablet for a year, but then my friend in Chicago gave me his old physical issue #3. Holding the book, seeing the colors on the actual paper, it just hit different. The whole experience felt more real, like I was part of the story instead of just scrolling past it. Anyone else switch back to physical copies after a long time with digital?

That's the printer ink smell, not the paper.

Yeah, I read an article about how our brains process physical pages differently, and @barbara_campbell is right about the whole vibe.

Totally get that lol. My tablet is basically a fancy comic screen now, but grabbing an old X-Men book from a box last week was a whole vibe. The paper smell, that little crinkle sound when you turn a page, even the ads for weird 90s toys hit different. Felt like a kid again, not just a person doomscrolling in bed.

Honestly Barbara, that "whole vibe" you love just sounds like dust and clutter to me.
