Hot take: I just found out how many people actually read digital comics now and it's crazy
I was reading an article on ComicBook.com yesterday that said digital comic sales made up over 40% of the market last year. I always thought it was a small thing, but that's almost half. It makes me wonder if the local comic shop I go to in Dayton is seeing that drop. Are most of you guys buying digital now, or are you still holding out for the paper copies?

I used to think digital comics were just a small thing too. That number is pretty wild, it actually changed my mind.

Still seems like a fad to me. Nothing beats the feel of a real comic book in your hands. Digital just feels like reading a PDF.

Daniel's missing the bigger picture here. Digital isn't replacing paper just for the sake of it, it's opening up comics to people who never had access before. Think about someone living in a small town with no comic shop, or a kid whose parents won't drive them across town every Wednesday. Digital means they can read "Saga" at 1am on their phone without anyone knowing. Plus, you get full color on a tablet that actually looks better than cheap newsprint sometimes. The big publishers are smart to push their apps with exclusive variants and sales that paper copies just can't match anymore.
