Hit 500 floppy disks in my collection this week
I was just sorting through a box I got at a garage sale in Ann Arbor and counted them up for fun. It's not a huge number compared to some folks but it felt like a real milestone for me since I started collecting last March.

is counting floppy disks really a milestone though lol. like do you actually have a plan for them or is it just taking up space?

Honestly, I think you're missing the point entirely. Counting floppy disks is less about the physical items and more about preserving a weird little slice of digital history that's basically disappearing. Ngl, in 20 years those things might be more useful as a historical artifact than half the 'useful' junk we hoard today.
