Had to pick between my pull list and a convention, chose the con

Last month I had $60 left after bills and had to decide between grabbing 4 issues from my pull list or getting a day pass to the local con in Columbus. I went with the con since I figured I could trade for back issues anyway, and honestly it was the right call. Met a small press artist whose self published book blew my mind, and he threw in a free print with the sketch I bought. The store will hold my pulls anyway, so the comics are still waiting for me, but that con moment is gone forever now. Anyone else ever skip a week or two of collecting to hit a show?
