Finally hit the comic shop in Portland after 3 months away
Walked into Excalibur Comics yesterday and spotted a whole wall of obscure bronze age runs I'd never seen in person before, has anyone else stumbled into a shop that totally surprised you with their back issue selection?

3 months away is a long time for a comic fix, I feel your pain. I drove past a place in Salem once called "Heroes and Villains" that looked like a hole in the wall from the street. Walked in and they had a full run of 1970s Ghost Rider that I'd been hunting for years, just sitting in a longbox under a stack of old Star Wars issues. It always hits different when you find a shop that doesn't show off its best stuff online. Hope you grabbed a few of those bronze age books before someone else beat you to them.

Heroes and Villains" is actually in Portland, not Salem. It's on Hawthorne, pretty easy to miss from the street like you said. Their longboxes are a mess but that's part of the charm, you never know what you'll dig up. They had a copy of Giant-Size X-Men #1 mixed in with some 90s Image stuff last time I was there, just sitting there like it was nothing.

Man that Giant-Size X-Men #1 find is crazy... I found an Amazing Spider-Man #129 in a dollar bin once at some random shop in Eugene, still can't believe nobody snagged it before me. Their longboxes are a disaster but that's half the fun, right?
