Breaking from the crossover craze fixed my reading slump
Many comic fans argue that you must buy all the big event books to be a real fan. I felt stuck because my stack of unread comics kept growing and I lost interest. I figured out that by sticking to a few favorite writers and skipping the rest, I saved cash and got excited again. It was a simple shift, but it made all the difference for my hobby.

How do people even keep up with all these events? I guess @gracehernandez finds them fun, but my wallet cries just thinking about it... Sticking to a few favorites is the only way I don't go broke.

I used to say the same thing about my wallet crying at event costs. Then I started helping out at some events and got in for free, which showed me a new side. Have you ever tried that to save money?
