Back when I swore by plastic bags and boards for my comics
I used to just toss issues in a poly bag with a cardboard backer and call it a day, until I found one of my old 1991 X-Men books with a bent corner after 10 years in storage. Now I use Mylite2 sleeves and full backs for anything from the mid-90s or earlier. Anyone else switch after a bad storage surprise?

Tbh the bent corner hurt just reading that. Switched to Mylites right after a water spill.

Bagged and boarded my whole collection for years, thought I was doing everything right. Then I pulled out an early 90s Spawn issue and the bag had actually stuck to the cover a little in one spot. That was it for me. Switched over to Mylites and those thick full backs, even for my newer stuff now. The poly bags just feel too flimsy once they get a couple years on them, and the cheap cardboard backs can bow and cause issues. I've got books in Mylar from ten years back that still look like they just came off the shelf. It's more money upfront but I figure I'm saving myself from more sad discoveries down the road.
