Tried to pour latte art and ended up with a coffee blob monster

I was at my kitchen counter last Sunday trying to make a rosetta in my latte. The milk was way too foamy and it just dumped out in one big lump that looked like a mutant blob. Has anyone else had a pour go so wrong it was actually funny?

I mean, honestly, a blob monster sounds way more memorable than a perfect rosetta, right? Like, who actually wants a nice flower when you could have a coffee creature staring back at you. But did you at least get a photo of it before you drank it? That's the real question here, because if you didn't document the blob, did it even happen.

Shake my head in solidarity because I have totally been there. Last week I tried making a swan and my milk was so thick it just plopped out and looked like a lumpy potato with a beak. Honestly though I think blob monsters are way more fun to show off to friends than a perfect flower because everyone can relate to a coffee fail. I always snap a photo first before drinking because the monstrosity deserves to be documented for posterity. You should post that blob monster picture somewhere so we can all appreciate its glory. Its like coffee art just decided to go abstract expressionist on you and that is okay.
