That 1990s espresso machine in the shop window stopped me cold

Walked past a repair shop in Austin last week and saw an old La Pavoni sitting there, all chrome and levers. Made me think about how we went from pulling shots by feel to apps telling us the exact pressure. Anyone else miss when your coffee ritual involved more elbow grease and less Bluetooth?
