Pour-over vs French press: which actually makes better coffee?

I have been testing both methods for the last month with the same beans from a local roaster in Portland. The pour-over gave me a cleaner cup with brighter notes, but the French press had more body and felt fuller in my mouth. My wife prefers the French press while I lean toward the pour-over, so we are at a standoff in our kitchen. Which do you think brings out the best in a medium roast, and do you have a go-to method for daily brewing?
