Found a $15 hand grinder at a garage sale that changed my morning routine

I grabbed this beat-up Porlex knockoff from an estate sale in Portland last Sunday for pocket change. Took it apart, cleaned it up, and now I'm getting way more consistent grinds than my old electric blade setup gave me. Anyone else find decent gear at random spots like thrift stores or flea markets?

@averywilliams totally nailed it with that Bunn find, but here's the thing nobody talks about - those old school manual grinders actually keep the beans cooler than electric ones can. Less heat means more flavor stays locked in, and that makes a bigger difference than the price tag ever could.

Honestly my buddy found a vintage Bunn grinder at a Goodwill for like 12 bucks last month. Thing looked like it had been through a war but he cleaned it up and now it grinds better than my 200 dollar machine. Ngl he still brags about it every time I'm over for coffee. Tbh garage sales and thrift stores are where the real sleeper gear hides.
