That time a coolant line blew right as I was finishing a 300-piece run
I was running a job on our old Haas VF2, about 3 hours into a 4-hour cycle. I heard a weird hiss from the back of the machine, then coolant just started spraying everywhere (like, a solid jet of it). I hit the e-stop, killed the main air supply, and grabbed a bucket from the wash bay. The whole floor was a slick mess, but the parts were fine. Has anyone else had a coolant line fail mid-job, and what's your quick fix to get back up and running?

Yeah, grabbing that bucket from the wash bay is the first move. I keep a couple of hose clamps and a foot of spare line in my toolbox now for a quick patch job.

Just a foot of line? Might as well use a band-aid on a burst pipe.

Grab a bucket" is the understatement of the year. Sounds like you were running a car wash, not a machine shop.
