That $200 tool holder system I bought was a total waste

I spent $200 on a fancy magnetic tool rail setup last year, thinking it would keep my end mills organized. After three months, the magnets lost their grip and a $60 carbide bit hit the concrete floor and broke. Anyone else had bad luck with these magnetic holders?

My buddy Dave bought the same magnetic rail system and he swears by it, but last week he dropped his favorite 1/2 inch rougher on the floor and chipped the tip. I laughed at him and said at least my $60 carbide bit got to test the concrete hardness before it gave up. Now I just toss my end mills in a coffee can like a real professional. How long did yours hold up before the magnets started letting things slide?

Come on @evan_wilson18, maybe he just needs to clean the swarf off the magnets first...
