Spent $150 on a coolant mist collector - was it worth it?
I dropped $150 on a cheap coolant mist collector for my Haas mill about 6 months ago. On one hand, my lungs feel way better and the shop floor isn't slippery anymore. On the other hand, it clogs up every few weeks and I spend an hour cleaning it out. Has anyone else tried the budget route for mist extraction or did you just go with the big expensive systems?

Bought a similar one and yeah it works okay but cleaning it drives me nuts lol.

@henrycooper you gotta rinse it right after use, makes cleaning way easier.

Oh man, welcome to the club! I got the same kind of cheapie and honestly it's like having a shop gremlin that you have to feed every couple weeks. @brown.gavin's tip about rinsing is solid but I swear mine still clogs up just from me looking at it wrong. It's that classic "pay now or pay later" situation, except the later part is just scrubbing gunk out of a plastic box while questioning your life choices. At least we're not breathing in all that nasty stuff, I guess?
