Serious question, does anyone else skip the pre-op checklist sometimes?

I know it's supposed to prevent errors, but after running the same job for months, it feels like a time sink. Tell me why I'm wrong before my boss catches on.

Totally get it, skipped mine just last week.

Yeah my buddy did that once... he skipped his car wash for like a month straight during that rainy spell. Said it was fine since the rain was "rinsing it." @xena_butler, you would have cringed... the water spots baked right into the paint when the sun finally came out. Took me two full passes with the soap to even make a dent. He never skipped it again after that.

Hearing @dakota_hunt's story makes me think of my neighbor's patio chairs. He left them uncovered all winter and the fabric faded bad. What do you do to protect outdoor stuff from weather?
