Old timer's two words about my finish pass finally clicked
I was running a stainless part last Tuesday and a retired mold guy walked by, watched for a minute, and just said 'slow down' before heading off. I had been chasing feed rates for months trying to fix chatter marks on a 3 inch bore, but dropping from 0.008 to 0.004 per rev got me a mirror finish with zero extra passes. Has anyone else had a super short piece of advice like that totally rewire how you set up your toolpaths?

Feeds and speeds are for the machine, feel is for the part.
