I finally saw a Haas VF-2 crash at a trade show in Chicago last year.

The operator was showing off a rapid tool change and forgot to clear a fixture clamp. The whole spindle head dropped and made this awful grinding noise. How do you guys handle demo nerves when you're running a machine in front of a crowd?

Ever try to demo a machine after three coffees? My hands shake so bad I just run the slowest, safest program possible. Guess I'm not winning any speed awards.
