Called BS on tool presetters until I borrowed one for a batch job

I always figured tool presetters were just a fancy way to waste time, so I never bothered. Then last month I had to run 400 parts in 316 stainless and my offsets kept drifting. A guy in the shop let me borrow his Haimer presetter and it cut my setup time by like 15 minutes per tool. Now I'm saving up for my own, has anyone else had a similar flip on something they thought was pointless?

My buddy said the SAME thing til his wife convinced him to give it a shot last month.

Read some article online that was breaking down the science behind it. Made a lot more sense after that.
